Last week at Sumy State University took place “Pitching of ideas of sustainable development” within the Week of Sustainable Development. Papers of 14 students and pupils were chosen for the final presentation. The panel of jury included Anatoly Moloshny, the coordinator of Sumy Regional Resource Center of the UNDP community “Community bastol approvable local development” (Phase III), Andriy Baranov – Secretary of City Council, as well as lecturers of the Sumy State University.
By the results of pitching the winners are as follows: the 1st place – Yuliia Tereshchenko (project “Motivating urns at bus stops”) and Victoria Yevtushenko (project “Urban-vegetable garden”), the 2nd place – Liliia Sydorenko (the project “One window for people with limited opportunities”), the 3nd place – Igor Fedenchenko (project “Energy Clock” – energy saving behavior of water consumption at Sumy State University) and Juliia Utenko (project “Blinds with solar panels at Sumy State University”). Winners received valuable prizes and all participants got the certificates. “Pitching of the ideas of sustainable development” was held within SCOPES grant IZ74Z0_160564 “Enhancing Energy Security by the Swiss-Ukrainian-Estonian Institutional Partnership”.
