The strategy of the FEM international activity is oriented on extending and deepening of the foreign contacts, development of the international cooperation in educational and scientific spheres.

International activity of the institute is realized in the following areas:
academic and scientific cooperation with foreign establishments and research organizations;
participation in the international programs and projects through involving of foreign partners;
participation in the international grant programs;
organizing of the academic teaching staff mobility;
organizing of the students’ mobility;
development of connections with diplomatic representatives from other states.

FEM also conducts activity within National strategy of education development, which defined the following strategic partners:
•    Universities and scientific organizations of PRC;
•    Universities and scientific organizations of the Danube region, including Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine);

•    Universities and scientific organizations of Lithuanian Republic;
