Online training session “Searching within Ultimate version of the databases”

On June 16, 2020 Associate Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship Department S.V. Pokhylko took part in online training session “Searching within Ultimate version of the databases – Academic Search & Business Source”.

Urszula Nowicka, EBSCO’s client acquisition manager (Poland), and Damian Piera, EBSCO’s regional sales manager for Ukraine, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania, were the coaches at this webinar Mr. Damian Piera said that EBSCO is a leading supplier that sells printed and electronic subscriptions, online databases and e-books, identification services for academic libraries, public libraries, serving the information needs of institutions for 72 years. EBSCO Information Services, headquartered in Ipswich, Massachusetts, is a division of EBSCO Industries Inc., the third largest privately held company in Birmingham, Alabama. EBSCO offers its clients library resources in academic, medical, public, legal, corporate and government markets. Its products include EBSCONET, a complete eResource management system, and EBSCOhost, which provides paid online research services through 375 full-text databases, a collection of more than 600,000 ebooks, subject indexes, medical records at the point of care, and an array of historical digital archives. In 2010, EBSCO introduced its EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) for institutions, which enables searches in its portfolio of journals and magazines. While Ms. Urszula Nowicka elaborated on the specifics of using search for these platforms. The information obtained will be useful for scientific and teaching use.
